Yarn manufacturing process- sizing, de-sizing, sourcing, twisting. Basics of dyeing and printing- tie and dye, block print and batik printing.

  • GARMENT CONSTRUCTION

Introduction- pattern making and sewing. Sewing machines – types of sewing machines, parts of sewing machine, functions of sewing machine, care of sewing machine, maintenance of machine, needle threading procedure of sewing machine. Tools used for pattern making, measuring, marking. How to measure body measurement and garment measurement? Seams and seam finishes. Pattern drafting & draping. Garment construction- Zabla, skirts, tunics, maxi, salwar, kameez, trousers, shirts, jump suits.
